The Universe of Storytelling, Pitching, and AI for Business Owners

Someone once asked me if I liked elevator music. When I replied, “Yes,” their eyes bucked, and confusion was written all over their face.
“You mean to tell me you like elevator music?” They wanted clarification.
“Yes,” I repeated, “when I’m on an elevator.” And the same goes with elevator pitches. They serve a tremendous purpose . . . when you’re on an elevator. When time is of essence.
Let’s be clear: Pitching is a HUGE necessity in business. I have had the pleasure and the honor of knowing and working with the best--not one of the best, but the best--pitch trainers, coaches, and consultants in the industry!

So, in a world where we are told, led to believe, and therefore conform to the belief that everyone has a microwave mentality, a low attention span, and is moving so fast-paced that they barely have time to make real connections, let alone form REALationships, yes, you better know how to pitch, when to pitch, and which type of pitch to pitch.
I have eleven types of pitches in my toolbox, and I will be a trainer in a business cohort powered by Legends Global--for the second year in a row--training certified business owners how to specifically pitch to procurement.

Again, I know the value of being able to pitch like the life of your business depends on it. As a Business Subject Matter & Storytelling Expert, I also understand that a pitch is a story on a time budget. Most people treat it like a highlight reel; to mainly showcase all their shiny receipts. The problem is that as powerful as your pitch may be, if you skip over the part where you unearth and flesh out your full story--I’m talking the dull, raw, raggedy, gritty, rusty, not so pretty, repelling, and even embarrassing parts; I’m talking the parts you share in your newsletter, in articles, in blogs, in interviews, in conversations over coffee, brunches, lunches and dinners; I’m talking the parts you share on your website, in your personal narrative, in your origin story, in your business journey, in your brochures, pamphlets, and publications; In your TEDx talks and in your books--then you are doing yourself, your business, and your legacy a disservice.

There will be occasions in life and in business when people have time for your story. For example, Nevada Small Business Development Center--as part of the State Small Business Credit Initiative--hired my company to create a full storytelling curriculum for their new learning platform, teaching business owners how to tell their story specifically to lenders and investors. Because, trust me, when it comes down to it, lenders and investors expect you to have--and are ready to listen to--your full story, to include your number story.
In short, and no pun intended, life is not a pitch and then you die. And neither is it a genuine, authentic story or pitch you allowed AI to create for you.

Oh, but, my friends, the same way I know the best pitch master in the industry, I know the best AI subject matter expert when it comes to using AI to evaluate your story and your pitch . . . not create, tweak, or edit it. This AI for Business Owners Expert, Whitney L. Barkley, forbids lazy AI cut-and-paste use under her watch.
So basically, I have just laid out for you the best of three worlds. The storytelling world with Joylynn M. Ross . .

. . . the pitch world with Precious Killerpitchmaster Williams, and the AI for business owners world with Whitney L. Barkley.
The three of us together make up a unique universe of its own that nothing or no one can hold a candle to! And if you want to scale and grow your business with other people’s money--if you want to bring awareness to your brand, cause, message, and movement as well as bring customers to your business--then it’s not one or the other; it’s “and” or “all.”
Add our universe to your entrepreneur and business owner support cohort, program, or initiative. We can customize a program, curriculum, or workshop--individually or combined--to meet your needs and budget. Available in-person and virtual. Groups or one-on-one.
Make the storytelling, pitching, and AI for business owners segment of your next function or program separate you from the ones everyone else is presenting.

Trust me, it won't be an average experience . . . because nothing about this powerhouse threesome is average. It will be more like extraordinary!
