Our Path To Publishing Book Critique Companion would love to provide your book with a thorough Professional Read-Thru & Book Critique. Clients choose this service pre or post publication. This in-depth feedback gives the added peace of mind that your book is hitting all the intended literary marks. Your Companion will take a deep dive into your project, providing not just feedback and suggestions, but with, again, a detailed reading and critique of your written work. This includes everything from the back cover synopsis, the front cover design, to the author bio, and any pages in between that make up the full manuscript. Upon the completion of the reading of the manuscript, your Companion will provide you with an editorial letter as well as notes and comments on our standard review scoring form. The notes and comments will be in reference to development, strengths and weaknesses of the literary work as a whole, repeated grammar issues, organization, flow, any holes/confusion within the book, overall development and pace, clarity, etc., and most importantly, whether the project and its purpose/intent is understandable, has clear instructions, intentions, benefits and results, and that any benefits and results line up with the promise made in the back of the book synopsis, front book matter, etc. Please note that your Companion will not do any editing, add content, or fact checking of any kind. Path To Publishing has a team of Editing Companions and ghostwriters who can provide you with these services if you should need them. The fee for the Professional Read-Thru & Book Critique is $1250 for up to 300 double-spaced pages in a Word Doc. (not Google Doc please), Times Roman 12 font, with one-inch margins all around, no extra lines between each 0.5 indented paragraphs. Anything over 300 pages will be an additional $4.00 per page. Once you book this service, you'll receive instructions from your assigned Companion on how to deliver your manuscript. We do provide standard NDAs upon request. Please allow 6-8 weeks for the completion of the critique depending on the length of the book. Once the critique is completed and the deliverables delivered, we'll schedule a one-hour follow-up call to discuss the feedback and critique, as well as answer any questions you might have.
